Wright recently took the spotlight on the Manufacturing Report podcast, where president and co-owner Tom Futey shared insights into the company’s nearly 100-year commitment to American manufacturing, tool innovation and skilled workforce development.

For nearly 100 years, Wright has manufactured its tools in Barberton, Ohio, choosing to invest in American manufacturing even as many companies have gone overseas.

“Our tools have been used by the Department of Defense in every conflict around the world,” Futey shared during the podcast. “Our customer base is about building our country, repairing our country and defending our country.”

This legacy of trust and durability is deeply rooted in Wright’s commitment to under one roof manufacturing. Futey emphasized that building tools in the U.S. allows the company to maintain the highest levels of quality, consistency and innovation.

But that commitment hasn’t come without challenges. The podcast delves into how Wright is navigating a rapidly changing landscape, from post-COVID labor dynamics to global competition. The conversation offers a rare inside look at what it takes to not only survive but thrive as a family-owned manufacturer in modern America.

“Wright is built on being best in class. We take great pride in our innovations and patents, and we're committed to delivering the strongest, highest-quality tools to serve our customers.”
