Built to Last: Celebrating the People and Commitment That Define Wright
The Heart Behind the Tools
At Wright, our story isn’t just about the tools we make, it’s about the hands from each of our 17 departments that touch every wrench and socket we produce. It's about the people behind the craftsmanship, the pride in every detail and the generations of hard work that have shaped our reputation.
Our team is built on dedication, integrity and a shared commitment to excellence. That foundation is made stronger through our values. Wright’s diversity comes in every form across age, background, race, gender and experience, and we’re especially proud of the strong presence of U.S. military veterans within our workforce.
See why Wright is the trusted choice for professionals across America—and discover how we continue to forge the highest quality tools by hardworking Americans for other hardworking professionals.
Recognizing the Legacy of Service
Commitment is something we take seriously, and it’s why we proudly celebrate our employees through ongoing service and achievement awards. These recognitions mark important career milestones, beginning at five years and continuing in five-year increments. But they’re about much more than numbers, they’re about honoring the dedication and work ethic that have helped shape who we are as a company.
At Wright, longevity isn’t the exception, it’s the tradition. The average tenure of a Wright employee is 8.5 years, reflecting the culture of consistency and pride we strive to uphold.
We’re especially proud to recognize some of our longest-tenured team members:
- Terry Taylor – 56 years
- Jeff Kyer – 42 years
- Walt Powers – 41 years
- Robert (Bob) Cathey – 38 years
In addition to these remarkable careers, we’re fortunate to have a large group of 20-year veterans, individuals whose contributions continue to elevate our brand and serve our customers every day.
Our people are the backbone of Wright, and we celebrate every milestone as a reminder that great tools and great companies are built by great people.
Generations of Excellence
What makes Wright unique is how often these stories of service and success are shared across generations. It’s not uncommon to find mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, brothers and sisters, or lifelong friends working alongside each other, sometimes even multiple generations of the same family. This isn’t just a job. For many, it’s a legacy.
The experience and knowledge passed down through families and long-standing employees create an unmatched level of trust, accountability and craftsmanship. Whether someone has been with Wright for five years or fifty-five, each person adds to a culture that values hard work, teamwork and loyalty.
More Than a Workplace
At Wright, we don’t just build projects, we build careers, we build community, and we build something bigger than ourselves. And that all starts with the people who choose to make Wright their professional home, generation after generation.
From monthly birthday roundtables where employees are invited to be “CEO for the day,” to our deep involvement in the Barberton community through local events and high school apprentice programs, we aim to make a lasting difference inside and outside our walls.
