New Utility Torque Wrench From Wright Tool Allows Precise Tightening in Confined Spaces
BARBERTON, OH -April 2004- Wright Tool Company has introduced
a new, specially designed, utility torque wrench that enables precise
tightening in confined spaces.
The Wright utility torque wrench is a thin, compact, ratchet-head
style, click-type wrench designed for multi-tap utility transformer applications
in confined areas. It is designed for use in both initial installations
and service maintenance applications.
The torque wrench features a 5/16" male hex bit drive
to torque down on set screws for secondary connectors on underground,
overhead and pad-mounted transformers.
Wright's new utility torque wrench increases connection
reliability, which minimizes power disruptions and expensive service calls,
and reduces the risk of switch failure due to improper connection. It
also helps prevent pitting and arcing.
The utility torque wrench comes with a 3/4" 12-point,
5/16" hex drive standard socket; a 5/16" female hex drive adapter-3/8"
male square drive; a 5/16" female hex drive adapter-1/2" male
square drive; and a protective case made of rugged, durable plastic.
The special adapters that accompany the utility torque wrench
enable the wrench to be converted into a 1/2" or 3/8" drive
torque wrench, making it multi-functional for additional applications.
Like all Wright tools, the new utility torque wrenches are
manufactured in the U.S.A. in accordance with ISO 9001/2000 quality procedures.
They are precision-manufactured from WRIGHTALLOY steel for strength
and durability.
Wright Tool offers more than 3,600 tools for the industrial,
contractor and MRO markets.
